A swallow nesting under the roof of a house brings happiness to its inhabitants. Seamen believed that the first thing they would see when land came into sight was a swallow. They therefore had swallows tattooed. The sailor believed that the swallows would bring him back home if he got lost, but also that they would bring his soul back home if he drowned. The swallow is a symbol of hope, loyalty, freedom and always the wish to return home safely. That is why this symbol should not be missing on the bouwoffer. The deepest wish of every person is that everyone who leaves the house will also return safely to this house.
The car mascot is made of clear glass and is in an unprecedented sublime condition. This is extremely rare considering the use of this image on the front of a bonnet.
